San Francisco LovEvolution or LoveFest, which is how it had been called prior to this year, is a massive electronic music event that happens annually in the city and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. It’s esitimated that over 120,000 people attended the event in 2008. It is considered to be the largest single-day electronic dance music event in America. The event includes a parade, in which 30 or more floats travel down Market St. each blasting different kind of electronic music, and a giant outdoor dance party at the Civic Center Plaza.
Personally, this event has a particularly special place in my heart, as my first day ever in San Francisco happened to fall onto the day of 2007 LoveFest. It was absolutely amazing, since on my first day in the city I was able to see in full its rich, unconventional culture. I knew that 2009 wasn’t going to disappoint.
And it didn’t! The 2009 LovEvolution happened last weekend, and it was by far one of best events I have ever been to in San Francisco. It could be because of two CamelBak’s that me and my friends have loaded with a death mix of Stolichnaya vodka and Sprite, but either way I’ve loved it!
I’m not going to write much about it. Instead, you can just watch my video report below:
